to help us deliver the programs that make a difference in the community
The Red Cross is able to provide these services because of the contributions from people living hee in our community. The American Red Cross is an independent, nonprofit organization that relies primarily on the generosity of the American people, corporations, and foundations for support. The Red Cross is not a government agency and therefore voluntary contributions are the key to our ability to respond immediatly when Help Can't Wait. When supporting the American Red Cross, you can feel confident that your money is being spent wisely. Nationally, an average of 90 cents of every dollar spent by the Red Cross goes to programs to help those in need. The real value of the Red Cross is magnified by the fact that the ratio of volunteer workers to Paid staff is about 41 to 1. Top financial magazines such as Kiplinger's Personal Finance and Money have consistently rated the Red Cross as one of the top five U.S. charities in their annual reviews.
